Two large diamond medallions stand on the deep red field of this lovely runner. At the center, two large diamond medallions sit on a deep red field filled with hooked motifs and small geometric shapes. Both medallions hold a violet blue ground with charming red rosettes and cream centers. Tan stepped pieces frame the top and bottom of the field, carrying scattered floral forms in rust and teal. Small blossoms in teal, red and violet repeat along the beautiful main border of rust and gold. Narrow guard stripes in charcoal and cream flank the outer edge. The pile is low in places across the field, and the foundation shows through in worn patches. The dense drawing holds the eye, keeping the strong red and orange notes from feeling too loud. At 3'5" by 7'5", it fits an entry, a hallway corner or the space beside a bed.
