Our Favorites

A hand-picked selection of pieces we keep coming back to.

Some are here for their color, some for an unusual drawing, some simply for how well they have aged. Each is a single vintage rug, hand-knotted and professionally washed, and once it sells it is gone.

How this selection is chosen

Everything on this page is a rug one of us stopped in front of. There is no algorithm behind it: a piece lands here because the color did something unexpected in the light, or the drawing was unusually confident for a village weave, or the wool had the soft sheen that decades of use can bring.

What tends to end up here

Often it is a rug whose color and wool are even better in person than in the photographs. Sometimes it is an odd size, a long narrow runner or a nearly square piece, the kind of format a weaver made for a specific room in a specific house and that now has to find a new one. Sometimes it is simply a color we have not seen in a year.

One of each

Each rug here is one of a kind, and once it sells it is gone. If something catches you, it is worth acting on it. We cannot source another like it, only another rug that is different in its own way.

If nothing here is right

This is a small window onto a much larger collection. Browsing by color, by size or by origin will show you far more, and if you tell us the room and the dimensions you are working with we are happy to pull a few pieces for you by hand.
