5133 · 3'5" x 6'11" Persian Botteh Runner Rug

Small boteh repeat in rows along this charming runner. Rows of small boteh in dark blue, gold and black fill the deep red field. The paisley leaf-drop repeats across the open ground with no central form to gather the plan. Beautiful cream corner pieces hold angular geometric shapes in red and dark blue. A wide cream border runs a bold geometric vine in red and dark blue around the perimeter. Narrow guard stripes of deep red and gold edge the inner ground and the rim. The pile is low in places, with the pale weave visible beneath the red ground. The warm red and cream geometry suits a narrow passage. At 3'5" by 6'11", it fits an entry, a hallway corner or the space beside a bed.

Every rug we sell is one of a kind, and this is the only one like it. It is hand-knotted wool pile on a cotton foundation, professionally washed and cleaned before it reaches you, and shipped folded and fully insured. Age-related wear and the small inconsistencies of a handmade weave are part of what these rugs are.
