8757 · 5'9" x 9'3" Turkish Isparta Area Rug

An ornate cream medallion sits inside a broad oval on this charming rug. At the center, an ornate cream medallion with a small rosette core sits inside a broad oval of pale sage green on a cream field. Delicate scrolling vines and brown flower heads fill the open ground around the central figure. Floral clusters in brown and sage curve into the four corners. The main border is brown, shaped with curved corners and carrying a dense scroll of cream vines and small flowers. The pile is worn in places across the field, and the foundation shows in a few patches. Sage and brown stay close in tone throughout the pile. At 5'9" by 9'3", it fits a bedroom beside the bed, a study under a desk, or a small sitting area.

Every rug we sell is one of a kind, and this is the only one like it. It is hand-knotted wool pile on a cotton foundation, professionally washed and cleaned before it reaches you, and shipped folded and fully insured. Age-related wear and the small inconsistencies of a handmade weave are part of what these rugs are.
