2768 · 2'2" x 3'4" Persian Hamedan Accent Rug

A large deep red diamond medallion holds the center of this wonderful rug. At the center, a large deep red diamond medallion sits on a cream field crowded with charming dark brown vines and muted pink blossoms. Smaller red diamonds act as pendants above and below the main shape, linked by scrolling stems. Handsome red spandrels with jagged edges sit at the upper corners of the field. The main border is black, carrying a repeat of cream and pink rosettes. Narrow guard stripes in dark brown with small red accents separate the wide border from the cream ground. The pile is full across the whole rug, so the flowers read cleanly. The pale ground lets the deep red shapes show clearly in a bright corner. At 2'2" by 3'4", it fits an entry, a hallway corner or the space beside a bed.

Every rug we sell is one of a kind, and this is the only one like it. It is hand-knotted wool pile on a cotton foundation, professionally washed and cleaned before it reaches you, and shipped folded and fully insured. Age-related wear and the small inconsistencies of a handmade weave are part of what these rugs are.
