3214 · 3'5" x 10'8" Persian Azerbaijan Runner Rug

Large geometric medallions in steel blue and gold run down the center of this lovely rug. Set within a deep red field, three large geometric medallions run down the center of this runner. The top and bottom forms are steel blue with cream cores, while the middle one is gold with a dark stepped center. Pretty jagged leaves in dark green and red fill the spaces between these shapes. Beautiful triangular spandrels in gold and blue occupy the four corners of the field. A cream main border carries small rosettes and diagonal lines, framed by narrow guard stripes in gold and red. The pile is low across much of the red field, where the foundation shows as small pale specks. The dense drawing holds the eye along the length without crowding it. At 3'5" by 10'8", it fits a hallway or the space along the side of a bed.

Every rug we sell is one of a kind, and this is the only one like it. It is hand-knotted wool pile on a cotton foundation, professionally washed and cleaned before it reaches you, and shipped folded and fully insured. Age-related wear and the small inconsistencies of a handmade weave are part of what these rugs are.
