A lobed slate blue medallion sits among fine scrolling vines on this charming rug. Fine scrolling vines and small blossoms fill the cream field around a splendid lobed slate blue medallion at the center. The medallion has a cream core holding a dainty pale blue flower and small green sprays, with lobed pendants at the top and bottom. Curling vine sprays in slate blue fill the four field corners. The main border is slate blue with cream scrolls, and narrow tan and pale blue stripes run beside it. A light antique wash softens the colors but leaves the drawing clear. The pile has worn low over much of the cream field. The slate blue and cream contrast gently across the surface. At 6'2" by 9'11", it fits a living room with the front legs of the sofa and chairs on the rug, or beside a queen bed.
