8350 · 6'5" x 10' Turkish Isparta Area Rug

A stepped medallion in sage gray holds the center of this lovely rug. Worked on a cream field, faint gray vines and small flower sprays drift around the center. A stepped medallion in sage gray holds a small cream core outlined in rust, with column pendants reaching above and below. Pale pink spandrels with scrolling leaves sit in the four corners. The gorgeous main border is sage gray, set with pretty cream rosettes and pale pink scrolls, flanked by narrow guard stripes of gray blue. Pile runs low in places across the field, and the foundation shows in a few patches. A light antique wash has eased the colors and left the drawing clear. The pale ground keeps the pink low, giving the rug a warm presence. At 6'5" by 10', it fits a living room with the front legs of the sofa and chairs on the rug, or beside a queen bed.

Every rug we sell is one of a kind, and this is the only one like it. It is hand-knotted wool pile on a cotton foundation, professionally washed and cleaned before it reaches you, and shipped folded and fully insured. Age-related wear and the small inconsistencies of a handmade weave are part of what these rugs are.
