8370 · 6'10" x 10'2" Turkish Isparta Area Rug

Scattered floral sprays surround a round central medallion on this charming rug. Worked on a teal field, lovely scattered floral sprays in terracotta, cream and brown surround a round central medallion. The medallion has a cream ring, a tan core and an outer ring of teal and brown flowers. Beautiful terracotta spandrels with scalloped edges hold scrolling leaves and small blossoms at the four corners. A cream main border carries teal and brown flowers and vines, flanked by guard stripes of teal and tan. The pile is low across much of the field, with pale streaks where the foundation shows, and the borders keep fuller pile. The dense drawing settles the room, balancing the cool teal ground with warm terracotta. At 6'10" by 10'2", it fits a living room with the front legs of the sofa and chairs on the rug, or beside a queen bed.
