8822 · 5'8" x 9'1" Turkish Isparta Area Rug

Scattered sprays of blossoms sit on a teal field in this charming rug. On a teal field with a green cast, scattered sprays of muted pink and cream blossoms drift around the edges of the open center. No medallion holds the center, only loose floral clusters floating on the green ground, with a dotted line of lovely blossoms tracing the sides. A faint narrow border of terracotta and brown vines encloses the field. The pile is worn in broad pale streaks across the center, and the white foundation shows in many places. A light antique wash has eased the colors and left the drawing clear. The soft pink and teal tones stay evenly matched throughout the piece. At 5'8" by 9'1", it fits a bedroom beside the bed, a study under a desk, or a small sitting area.

Every rug we sell is one of a kind, and this is the only one like it. It is hand-knotted wool pile on a cotton foundation, professionally washed and cleaned before it reaches you, and shipped folded and fully insured. Age-related wear and the small inconsistencies of a handmade weave are part of what these rugs are.
