Pink hexagons and near-black cross forms alternate in a charming column of medallions. Set within a deep red field, a column of medallions runs down the length, alternating between cream-edged pink hexagons and near-black cross forms. The crosses have pink outlines and ochre squares. Small flowers and figures in teal, ochre, gray and navy fill the spaces between them. The main border is near-black, carrying angular figures in red, pink and ochre. Guard stripes of green and cream checks, pink and teal checks, and a cream band with brown outlines frame it. The pile is full over the field and low in a few spots along the border, where white specks show. It brings a strong vertical rhythm to a passage, the bright pink cores lifting the red. At 2'11" by 8'11", it fits a hallway or the space along the side of a bed.
