5583 · 8' x 11'4" Persian Tabriz Oversized Rug

Loose sprays of flowers fill the four corners of this delightful deep red rug. The deep red field holds a large central medallion, with loose sprays of flowers in the four corners instead of solid corner pieces. A lobed cream shape forms the medallion, its core red with small cream and blue flowers, while slate blue and cream pendants run above and below it. A gorgeous near-black border carries clay palmettes and red vine scrolls, framed by sage green guard stripes with graceful red rosettes. Low patches with white specks show in the field, and the red turns paler there. It holds a formal room together, the near-black border framing the warmth of the center. At 8' by 11'4", it fits a dining table for six with the chairs pulled out, or a full living room seating group.

Every rug we sell is one of a kind, and this is the only one like it. It is hand-knotted wool pile on a cotton foundation, professionally washed and cleaned before it reaches you, and shipped folded and fully insured. Age-related wear and the small inconsistencies of a handmade weave are part of what these rugs are.
