5704 · 2'2" x 5'7" Persian Baluch Accent Rug

Three stepped octagonal medallions run down the center of this lovely rug. Worked on a cream field, a column of three stepped octagonal medallions runs down the center in gray brown and gray beige. Each medallion holds a small geometric cross at its core, framed by hooked edges that reach into the open ground. Stepped forms in matching gray brown fill the field at each end. The beautiful main border carries a band of repeating hooked and stepped motifs in gray brown on a gray beige ground. Narrow bands frame the border on both sides. It has a full antique wash, with no color left at strength. The pile is full across the face, keeping the geometric drawing clear. The pale gray tones give a corner a light touch. At 2'2" by 5'7", it fits an entry, a hallway corner or the space beside a bed.

Every rug we sell is one of a kind, and this is the only one like it. It is hand-knotted wool pile on a cotton foundation, professionally washed and cleaned before it reaches you, and shipped folded and fully insured. Age-related wear and the small inconsistencies of a handmade weave are part of what these rugs are.
