A central oval medallion with a pale rosette core makes this a charming rug. Dainty brown vines and small blossoms curl around a central oval medallion on the cream field. The medallion holds a pale rosette core, framed by pretty scrolling leaves that reach toward each end. A garland of brown roses and leaves rings the open field, thickest at the four corners. A wide dark brown border dotted with cream leaves encloses the design, and its corners are cut at an angle. The pile is thin in places across the field, and the foundation shows through. An antique wash has taken every color to one warmth, none at strength. The brown drawing stands out against the pale ground. At 3'8" by 6'11", it fits an entry, a hallway corner or the space beside a bed.
