8250 · 6' x 10'5" Turkish Isparta Area Rug

A tall medallion pointed at both ends makes this a charming rug. Worked on a dusty rose field, graceful dotted vines and small flower heads in cream and muted pink wind around a tall medallion. The medallion is pointed at both ends, cream and gold with pale green panels, and a small brown star sits at its center. Pale green scalloped panels with pink flowers sit at the four corners and along the long sides. The main border is tan, carrying small rose and slate blue flowers and brown leaf scrolls. Narrow guard stripes in brown, rose and slate blue flank the border. The pile is low in places across the field and medallion. A light antique wash softens the colors but leaves the drawing clear. It suits a sunlit space, where the dusty rose field warms the cream and pale green. At 6' by 10'5", it fits a living room with the front legs of the sofa and chairs on the rug, or beside a queen bed.

Every rug we sell is one of a kind, and this is the only one like it. It is hand-knotted wool pile on a cotton foundation, professionally washed and cleaned before it reaches you, and shipped folded and fully insured. Age-related wear and the small inconsistencies of a handmade weave are part of what these rugs are.
