8431 · 7' x 10'4" Turkish Isparta Area Rug

This charming rug centers on a floral medallion in brown and pale green. At the center, a large floral medallion in brown and pale green sits on a cream field covered with a faint diamond lattice. The medallion holds a small rosette core and sends handsome leafy pendants toward the top and bottom edges. Brown spandrels fill the four corners with lovely scrolling vines and blossoms that curve inward from the border. The main border is brown, carrying a wide scroll of cream and pale green flowers. A thin guard band runs a geometric key pattern in cream and brown along the outer edge. The pile is low across the cream field. It anchors a sitting area, the soft brown and green notes keeping the light ground calm. At 7' by 10'4", it fits a living room with the front legs of the sofa and chairs on the rug, or beside a queen bed.

It is hand-knotted wool pile on a cotton foundation, professionally washed and cleaned before it reaches you, and shipped folded and fully insured. Age-related wear and the small inconsistencies of a handmade weave are part of what these rugs are.
