1023 · 4' x 6'2" Persian Torkaman Area Rug

Rows of dark brown diamond guls repeat across this wonderful rug. Worked on a rose field, rows of dark brown diamond guls repeat across a pale grid with small red and olive accents. The design is an all-over lattice with no central medallion, and the pattern runs straight to the edges without corner spandrels. A splendid dark brown main border carries geometric bands of triangles and stepped motifs in charcoal and tan. Narrow guard stripes in charcoal and brown separate the wide border from the field. The pile is full, keeping the small geometric details sharp and clear. It brings a warm, earthy texture to a room, balancing the soft rose ground with strong dark brown outlines. At 4' by 6'2", it fits a bedroom beside the bed, a study under a desk, or a small sitting area.

Every rug we sell is one of a kind, and this is the only one like it. It is hand-knotted wool pile on a cotton foundation, professionally washed and cleaned before it reaches you, and shipped folded and fully insured. Age-related wear and the small inconsistencies of a handmade weave are part of what these rugs are.
