2089 · 10'4" x 15'9" Persian Najafabad Oversized Rug

Pale oyster and gray beige make this a lovely rug. This Najafabad has gone down to pale oyster and gray beige, and what is left reads like a watermark. In the center a large scalloped panel in dusty steel blue opens up the field. Pretty ivory and tan floral sprays fill it, circling a small pink medallion with a brown floral heart. Beyond that panel, the ground turns pale rose and ivory, where faint rose-brown palmettes and vines surface and sink across the field and borders. The pile is low and softly distressed, which is where the washed, faded character comes from. This is a rug that sits well with linen, pale wood and old furniture and lets the room do the talking. At 10'4" by 15'9", it fits a dining table for six with the chairs pulled out, or a full living room seating group.
