3193 · 3'5" x 9'5" Persian Hosseinabad Runner Rug

Gray vines form a delightful lattice across the deep red field. Worked on a deep red field, a lattice of gray vines holds small rosettes and hooked leaves in cream, tan and touches of sky blue. There is no medallion; the pattern repeats down the length, and a small cream triangle with fine motifs sits in each corner of the field. The beautiful main border runs camel with curled figures in red, brown, gray and cream. Beside it runs a dark brown guard stripe with a gray scroll, then a sawtooth line in gray and red. The outer border is red and carries small floral figures. The pile is full. The bright red ground warms the floor without crowding it. At 3'5" by 9'5", it fits a hallway or the space along the side of a bed.

Every rug we sell is one of a kind, and this is the only one like it. It is hand-knotted wool pile on a cotton foundation, professionally washed and cleaned before it reaches you, and shipped folded and fully insured. Age-related wear and the small inconsistencies of a handmade weave are part of what these rugs are.
