5341 · 4'11" x 10'2" Persian Nahavand Area Rug

Lovely deep red trees and rosettes cover the near-black field. Deep red trees, rosettes and flower heads fill a near-black field, with red tree forms rising above and below the center. A splendid stepped medallion with a blue outline and a red interior anchors the middle, a small cream diamond at its core. Red spandrels in the four corners carry small blue and orange flower heads. The main border runs navy, set with red and camel flower heads. A camel guard stripe with a blue zigzag line edges the field inside it. Pile runs low in spots across the face, and the weave shows through in a few patches. It brings the red and camel notes into a room, set against the navy and near-black. At 4'11" by 10'2", it fits a bedroom beside the bed, a study under a desk, or a small sitting area.

Every rug we sell is one of a kind, and this is the only one like it. It is hand-knotted wool pile on a cotton foundation, professionally washed and cleaned before it reaches you, and shipped folded and fully insured. Age-related wear and the small inconsistencies of a handmade weave are part of what these rugs are.
