This lovely rug has a small pale blue diamond medallion on a cream field. At the center, a small pale blue diamond medallion holds a tan core on a cream field. Dainty scrolling vines and palmettes in gold, near-black and pale blue fill the open ground around it. The main border shares the cream ground, edged by a scalloped gold vine and set with gold and near-black palmettes. A slim near-black line runs along the outer edge. A light antique wash has eased the colors and left the drawing clear. A few white specks mark low spots across the field. Gold, sage and pale blue notes stay muted throughout the design. At 5'2" by 8'4", it fits a bedroom beside the bed, a study under a desk, or a small sitting area.
