8168 · 4'5" x 8' Turkish Manisa Area Rug

The lobed medallion of this charming rug holds a small brown rosette. Scrolling vines and loose floral sprays in tan and gray brown cover the cream field. A gorgeous central lobed medallion holds a small brown rosette at its core, with curved pendants extending up and down. Large vine loops fill the four corners of the field, framing the center without heavy spandrels. Gray beige carries the wide border, filled with a scroll of small blossoms and leaves in tan and sage. Thin dark brown and cream bands frame the drawing on all sides. A full antique wash has softened every color. The pile is low in places. Dense drawing fills the pale ground so the brown lines can define each shape. At 4'5" by 8', it fits a bedroom beside the bed, a study under a desk, or a small sitting area.

Every rug we sell is one of a kind, and this is the only one like it. It is hand-knotted wool pile on a cotton foundation, professionally washed and cleaned before it reaches you, and shipped folded and fully insured. Age-related wear and the small inconsistencies of a handmade weave are part of what these rugs are.
