A central medallion of sage and gray brown stands on this lovely rug. On an ivory field, a central medallion of sage and gray brown sits within a wreath of charming curling stems and tiny blooms in muted pink. The medallion holds a round sage core with a small floral shape at its center, and small lobes reach above and below it. Large spandrels in muted pink fill the four corners, their scalloped edges outlined in gray brown and holding sprays of sage leaves. A beautiful gray beige border carries a row of small flowers in muted pink and sage, framed by narrow guard stripes of ivory with tiny geometric marks. A light antique wash has eased the colors and left the drawing clear. Pile runs low in spots across the face, and the weave shows through in the open field. Pink and sage notes keep the ivory ground from looking bare. At 5'6" by 8'7", it fits a bedroom beside the bed, a study under a desk, or a small sitting area.
