A cream medallion sits in the middle of the salmon panel of this lovely rug. A salmon panel with pointed ends forms the field, worn to pale streaks. A splendid cream medallion in the middle is a round flower head with a ring of small petals, and a small teardrop pendant sits at each end. Large cream scrolls with curling stems fill the corners and run along the sides. The main border is cream, carrying a charming scrolling vine of gray beige blossoms and leaves, with narrow bands inside and outside it. The pile is worn across much of the salmon ground. The dense drawing keeps the gray beige lines clear against the warm field. At 5'1" by 9'6", it fits a bedroom beside the bed, a study under a desk, or a small sitting area.
