The same red and black drawing fills the ground between these central shapes. The splendid border carries angular motifs in red and near-black, edged by a cream sawtooth band. The pile is low in places, and pale areas reveal the weave beneath. It grounds a narrow passage, the near-black drawing keeping the red from feeling too bright. At 3'1" by 6'3", it fits an entry, a hallway corner or the space beside a bed.
