2517 · 6'9" x 10'1" Persian Tabriz Area Rug

On the cream field sits a charming lobed medallion in gray brown, with a gray green rosette at its core. A cream field carries a lobed medallion in gray brown, with a gray green rosette at its core inside a cream star, and a pendant above and below. Handsome gray brown corner pieces curl with pretty scrolling vines, and sprays of small blossoms and leaves scatter across the open field. The wide gray brown main border carries large cream palmettes, each a fan of petals, between fine guard stripes. A full antique wash, no color left at strength, brings everything to one warm tone, and the pile is low, lower still along the top border. The low washed pile gives a living room an even base, with the gray green of the rosette and leaves as its one cool note. At 6'9" by 10'1", it fits a living room with the front legs of the sofa and chairs on the rug, or beside a queen bed.

Every rug we sell is one of a kind, and this is the only one like it. It is hand-knotted wool pile on a cotton foundation, professionally washed and cleaned before it reaches you, and shipped folded and fully insured. Age-related wear and the small inconsistencies of a handmade weave are part of what these rugs are.
