5121 · 6'8" x 10'1" Persian Kerman Area Rug

With dark blue scrolling vines winding around a large red panel, this is a charming rug. Worked on a cream field, dark blue scrolling vines wind around a large red panel. That panel holds a splendid lobed medallion with a near-black ground, gold leaves, pink pendants and a cream rosette at its core. Four square corner panels each hold a single rosette in pink, pale blue and gold on a tan ground. The main border is near-black, set with delicate tan and pink palmettes and small gold columns. A tan guard band with a brown scroll runs inside the border. The pile is low in places across the red panel, where pale specks show the foundation. It suits a room of warm wood, the cream field keeping the deep red panel from feeling heavy. At 6'8" by 10'1", it fits a living room with the front legs of the sofa and chairs on the rug, or beside a queen bed.
