3522 · 6'11" x 9'10" Persian Ferdos Area Rug

Pointed pendants above and below the central star medallion make this a charming rug. A scatter of small brown blossoms and sprigs dots the open cream field. A central star medallion holds a dark brown star at its core, with pointed pendants above and below. Large brown spandrels with lovely curling leaf sprays fill each corner. The main border is brown, carrying a row of delicate cream rosettes with small sprigs between them, and a dark brown band with a scrolling vine runs inside it. Narrow guard stripes in cream and brown edge the border on both sides. Pale patches where the pile is low dot the field, and the foundation shows there. Dense brown and cream drawing fills both the border and the medallion. At 6'11" by 9'10", it fits a living room with the front legs of the sofa and chairs on the rug, or beside a queen bed.

Every rug we sell is one of a kind, and this is the only one like it. It is hand-knotted wool pile on a cotton foundation, professionally washed and cleaned before it reaches you, and shipped folded and fully insured. Age-related wear and the small inconsistencies of a handmade weave are part of what these rugs are.
