3019 · 3'9" x 10'4" Persian Ferdos Runner Rug

Three lobed medallions form a column in this lovely rug. A faded red field holds a column of three lobed medallions worn pale at their cores. Small flower sprays in blue and pink circle them across the red. Blue corner pieces edged in salmon hold small pink flowers at each end. The main border is navy, carrying graceful pink leaves and rosettes beside blue star flowers. Narrow guard stripes in cream and salmon carry small red and blue triangles on both sides of it. Pile is low over most of the field, with the foundation showing in white specks and the red paler through the middle. It grounds a narrow room with red, the navy border and blue sprays adding a cool edge. At 3'9" by 10'4", it fits a hallway or the space along the side of a bed.
