3061 · 4'4" x 7'10" Persian Ferdos Area Rug

The gold medallion with a red and navy rosette sits at the center of this remarkable rug. Set in a deep red field, a gold medallion with a red and navy rosette at its core sits at the center, ringed in near-black with a serrated outline. Above and below it, a beautiful pendant of cream scrolls and green vines closes the field. The corners are not set apart; the wide border wraps the whole rug in one band. That main border is navy, carrying cream-outlined panels on a near-black ground, each with a red rosette ringed in green. A thin cream line steps around the field edge. The pile is full. Strong red and a cool navy frame give this rug its presence. At 4'4" by 7'10", it fits a bedroom beside the bed, a study under a desk, or a small sitting area.

Every rug we sell is one of a kind, and this is the only one like it. It is hand-knotted wool pile on a cotton foundation, professionally washed and cleaned before it reaches you, and shipped folded and fully insured. Age-related wear and the small inconsistencies of a handmade weave are part of what these rugs are.
