3512 · 8'11" x 12'10" Persian Tabriz Oversized Rug

The sage vines and steel blue blossoms are lovely against the camel and cream. A camel center sits inside a wide cream ground, both set with sage vines and steel blue blossoms. A handsome gray brown stepped medallion with a cream core outlined in steel blue holds a small pointed pendant at each end. A stepped cream frame runs around the field, and delicate steel blue leaf ornaments sit at its four corners. The straw main border carries a scroll of steel blue flower heads alongside cream and brown palmettes. Narrow guard stripes in brown and cream edge the border on both sides. The pile is low in places across the field, with pale specks of foundation. A light antique wash has eased the colors without reaching the drawing. In a bright room, the camel ground lets the blue notes sit lightly. At 8'11" by 12'10", it fits a dining table for six with the chairs pulled out, or a full living room seating group.

Every rug we sell is one of a kind, and this is the only one like it. It is hand-knotted wool pile on a cotton foundation, professionally washed and cleaned before it reaches you, and shipped folded and fully insured. Age-related wear and the small inconsistencies of a handmade weave are part of what these rugs are.
