5829 · 9'7" x 12'8" Persian Nain Oversized Rug

This lovely ivory rug has a star medallion whose steel blue core is outlined in near-black. Scrolling vines and flower heads in steel blue and brown spread across the ivory field. A star medallion anchors the middle, its steel blue core outlined in near-black. Large blue flower clusters with pretty curling leaves sit in each corner of the field. The gorgeous cream main border carries a chain of palmettes and blossoms in blue and brown on fine vine. Gray-tan guard stripes with small cross motifs run along both edges of the border. A few patches of the field have thinned, and the weave shows there as small white specks. It grounds a seating group, the pale field keeping the blue drawing from feeling heavy. At 9'7" by 12'8", it fits a dining table for six with the chairs pulled out, or a full living room seating group.

Every rug we sell is one of a kind, and this is the only one like it. It is hand-knotted wool pile on a cotton foundation, professionally washed and cleaned before it reaches you, and shipped folded and fully insured. Age-related wear and the small inconsistencies of a handmade weave are part of what these rugs are.
