5119 · 8' x 11'4" Persian Nain Oversized Rug

On this amazing rug, scrolling vines and small blossoms, worked finely and close together, cover a cream field. A cream field carries scrolling vines and small blossoms in steel blue, near-black, olive and brown, worked finely and close together. A lobed oval medallion sits at the center, ringed in rose and holding a near-black diamond core with a small pale rosette. Beautiful near-black spandrels fill the four inner corners, with tan and blue scrolls worked into them. Tan fills the ground of the main border, with pretty near-black quatrefoil blossoms set among blue and near-black vines. Several narrow stripes in blue and tan run along both sides of it. The pile reads full in the borders and the medallion, with only a few low specks across the field. The pale field lets the blue and near-black drawing show clearly. At 8' by 11'4", it fits a dining table for six with the chairs pulled out, or a full living room seating group.

Every rug we sell is one of a kind, and this is the only one like it. It is hand-knotted wool pile on a cotton foundation, professionally washed and cleaned before it reaches you, and shipped folded and fully insured. Age-related wear and the small inconsistencies of a handmade weave are part of what these rugs are.
