4114 · 8'4" x 11' Persian Kashmar Oversized Rug

The cypress trees and vases of flowers add a charming touch. The center of this pictorial rug is a deep indigo field. A beautiful lobed medallion in olive and gold holds a domed pavilion above a blue pool. Arched colonnades, cypress trees and vases of flowers fill panels of rust, salmon, red and green around it. The design is mirrored left to right. Rust panels with more vases sit in the upper corners. A narrow deep red border carries small blue and salmon blossoms between thin navy guard lines. The pile is lightly worn, with fine pale flecks in the darker areas and a softened patch of blue above the center. The indigo and warm rust give the whole garden scene a clear focus on the floor. At 8'4" by 11', it fits a dining table for six with the chairs pulled out, or a full living room seating group.

Every rug we sell is one of a kind, and this is the only one like it. It is hand-knotted wool pile on a cotton foundation, professionally washed and cleaned before it reaches you, and shipped folded and fully insured. Age-related wear and the small inconsistencies of a handmade weave are part of what these rugs are.
