4142 · 9'4" x 12'2" Persian Kashan Oversized Rug

A diamond medallion with a near-black body gives this rug a charming center. Over a deep red field, delicate scrolling vines carry palmettes and flower heads in cream, steel blue, pink and gold. A diamond medallion rests at the center with a near-black body that holds a cream and light blue core, sending pendants up and down the length. Beautiful near-black spandrels occupy the four corners, each with a cream patch at the outer tip, packed with curling leaves. The main border runs near-black, set with a broad vine of red, pink and gold blossoms. Guard stripes of cream and steel blue carry small rosettes. White specks scatter across the field and the borders where the pile is low. In a large room, the saturated red and cool blue accents meet across the surface. At 9'4" by 12'2", it fits a dining table for six with the chairs pulled out, or a full living room seating group.

Every rug we sell is one of a kind, and this is the only one like it. It is hand-knotted wool pile on a cotton foundation, professionally washed and cleaned before it reaches you, and shipped folded and fully insured. Age-related wear and the small inconsistencies of a handmade weave are part of what these rugs are.
