4354 · 3'7" x 10'4" Persian Azerbaijan Runner Rug

Stepped medallions in muted pink make this a remarkable rug. Within a dark brown field, three stepped medallions in muted pink stack down the center, each holding diamond cores in olive and pink. Small stars in cream, gray and rose and hooked motifs fill the medallions between the cores. Salmon and gray clusters sit on the brown ground beside each medallion. The handsome main border runs dark brown, set with rows of small triangles in salmon, gray, orange and brown. Narrow cream lines and a rose zigzag stripe run beside it on both sides. Pile is full from end to end. The dense drawing carries the long format, with muted pink and olive standing out from the dark brown. At 3'7" by 10'4", it fits a hallway or the space along the side of a bed.

Every rug we sell is one of a kind, and this is the only one like it. It is hand-knotted wool pile on a cotton foundation, professionally washed and cleaned before it reaches you, and shipped folded and fully insured. Age-related wear and the small inconsistencies of a handmade weave are part of what these rugs are.
