Small boteh in tan and warm gray make this a lovely rug. Set within a burgundy field, small boteh in tan and warm gray repeat across the length, with no central medallion. The all-over pattern fills the ground closely, leaving no open space between the curved leaf-drops. No corner pieces break the repeat, so the drawing runs straight to the edge. A splendid tan main border carries angular figures in dark brown and rust, turning sharply at the corners. Narrow guard stripes of zigzag lines in gray and red flank the wide tan band. The pile has thinned in a few patches across the field, where the foundation shows. It brings a steady rhythm to a long hall, and the tan border lightens the deep red center. At 3'5" by 10'5", it fits a hallway or the space along the side of a bed.
