5401 · 9'11" x 12'10" Persian Sabzevar Oversized Rug

The red field holds a lovely star medallion at its center. Worked on a deep red field, small flower sprays and curling vines in pink, steel blue, brown and olive scatter across the ground. A splendid star medallion anchors the center, its navy lobes ringing a blue and tan core, with a small cream pendant above and below. Pale corner pieces in cream and light blue, with navy scrolls, fill the four corners. The wide main border runs navy, carrying pink and red flower heads on charming curling vines. A rust-brown band with tiny flower sprigs runs inside the navy, and a thinner one sits outside it. Pile is low in places across the field, with white specks showing in the red and along the border. The dark navy edge keeps the deep red ground steady in a large room. At 9'11" by 12'10", it fits a dining table for six with the chairs pulled out, or a full living room seating group.
