5820 · 9'1" x 12' Persian Sabzevar Oversized Rug

Charcoal runs through both the medallion and the border of this delightful deep red rug. On a deep red field, scrolling vines carry pretty cream palmettes, steel blue leaves and small rosettes. A gorgeous lobed medallion sits at the center, its charcoal ground holding a tan core with a blue flower, with small pendants above and below. Small cream and dark floral clusters mark each corner of the field. The main border is charcoal, set with pale blue palmettes and pink and cream flower heads. A wide camel guard stripe with tiny blossoms runs inside it, edged by a narrow steel blue band. Pile reads even across the field and border. It holds a large seating group together, the charcoal border framing the warm red center. At 9'1" by 12', it fits a dining table for six with the chairs pulled out, or a full living room seating group.

Every rug we sell is one of a kind, and this is the only one like it. It is hand-knotted wool pile on a cotton foundation, professionally washed and cleaned before it reaches you, and shipped folded and fully insured. Age-related wear and the small inconsistencies of a handmade weave are part of what these rugs are.
