5816 · 8'2" x 12' Persian Heriz Oversized Rug

The eight-petal star medallion with its navy outline looks wonderful on the red field. An eight-petal star medallion with an ivory core and a navy outline spreads across the red field, trailing pendants toward each end. Angular vines and blossoms fill the ground around it. Handsome ivory corner spandrels sharpen the composition, and the charcoal main border walks its steady line of delicate rosettes between coral guard stripes. The palette is the warm, familiar Heriz trio of brick red, deep navy and ivory. This is the archetypal Heriz look that has furnished North American homes for a century. The dense pattern forgives a lot of use, and the geometry keeps even a traditional room lively. At 8'2" by 12', it fits a dining table for six with the chairs pulled out, or a full living room seating group.

Every rug we sell is one of a kind, and this is the only one like it. It is hand-knotted wool pile on a cotton foundation, professionally washed and cleaned before it reaches you, and shipped folded and fully insured. Age-related wear and the small inconsistencies of a handmade weave are part of what these rugs are.
