8013 · 5'3" x 8'6" Turkish Isparta Area Rug

A lovely lobed medallion outlined in dark brown vine sits at the center. The field is cream washed to a pale tan, dotted with gray brown vines and small rosettes, with faded red showing toward the upper end. A lobed medallion sits at the center, outlined in dark brown vine with small blossoms at the core. Graceful scrolling leaves and sprays gather in the corners and echo the medallion line. Thin guard stripes edge a wide camel border filled with small dark brown vines and flower heads. The pile is worn low across much of the field, most of all toward the upper end, with the foundation visible in places. A full antique wash has taken every color to one level, none at strength. The soft brown drawing rests on the pale field, forming a muted ground underfoot. At 5'3" by 8'6", it fits a bedroom beside the bed, a study under a desk, or a small sitting area.

Every rug we sell is one of a kind, and this is the only one like it. It is hand-knotted wool pile on a cotton foundation, professionally washed and cleaned before it reaches you, and shipped folded and fully insured. Age-related wear and the small inconsistencies of a handmade weave are part of what these rugs are.
