This lovely rug has an oval medallion holding a floral bouquet. Sage vines and a small geometric lattice fill the burgundy field, with cream blossoms gathered toward its edges. An oval medallion sits at the center on a sage gray ground, holding a floral bouquet inside a near-black oval line, with flower clusters above and below. Sage corner pieces hold large cream blossoms and scrolling leaves. A narrow muted pink main border carries a pretty near-black vine scroll. The pile is full across most of the face, with a few pale low spots. A light antique wash has softened the colors without reaching the drawing. It brings a soft warmth to a room, letting the sage and pink cool the burgundy ground. At 6'5" by 9'9", it fits a living room with the front legs of the sofa and chairs on the rug, or beside a queen bed.
