The slate blue field holds a charming lobed oval medallion. Over a slate blue field, cream and brown sprays curl around a central medallion. The medallion is a lobed oval in cream and tan, with pendants above and below and a round star-centered rosette at its core. Lovely sprays of brown and gray flowers fill the four corners of the field, set against a wide cream frame with scrolled, clipped corners. A thin dark brown line edges that frame. The beautiful outer border runs lavender gray, carrying fine cream vines and small leaves, with a few touches of teal near the top. The pile is low in places across the field, and the foundation shows in a few patches. The colors carry a light antique wash that softened them without reaching the drawing. The cream frame keeps the blue from looking cold. At 5'5" by 9'1", it fits a bedroom beside the bed, a study under a desk, or a small sitting area.
