8590 · 5'8" x 9'6" Turkish Isparta Area Rug

Scrolling vines and flower heads surround a gray beige medallion on this lovely rug. Over a pale green field, delicate scrolling vines and flower heads in cream, sage and gray beige surround a central shape. A handsome gray beige medallion sits at the center, holding a small floral core and extending notched pendants into the open ground. Garlands of curling leaves and blossoms ring the green field and reach into the corners. The main border runs dark brown, set with a dense repeat of small cream blossoms. Narrow bands in sage and cream edge the pattern on each side. The pile is thin in streaks across the green field, and the foundation shows through. The dense drawing keeps the soft green and brown tones from looking empty. At 5'8" by 9'6", it fits a bedroom beside the bed, a study under a desk, or a small sitting area.

Every rug we sell is one of a kind, and this is the only one like it. It is hand-knotted wool pile on a cotton foundation, professionally washed and cleaned before it reaches you, and shipped folded and fully insured. Age-related wear and the small inconsistencies of a handmade weave are part of what these rugs are.
