10004 · 7' x 10'9" Persian Bakhtiari Oversized Rug

The ivory-outlined boteh in the deep red main border make this a lovely rug. Burgundy fills the field, which is scattered with rows of tiny flower heads in pink and ivory and loose floral sprays. A gorgeous layered ivory medallion with a navy core and a pink rosette at its heart sits at the center, with ivory pendants at each end. Beautiful navy corner pieces hold the same tiny flowers in pink and ivory. The deep red main border carries ivory-outlined boteh, the paisley leaf-drop, joined by navy and pink flower heads, between ivory guard stripes of small flowers and leaves. Only the upper left corner shows light wear, where the pile sits a little lower. It holds a room together: the burgundy and ivory bring warmth and lift, and the navy corners add depth at the edges. At 7' by 10'9", it fits a living room with the front legs of the sofa and chairs on the rug, or beside a queen bed.

Every rug we sell is one of a kind, and this is the only one like it. It is hand-knotted wool pile on a cotton foundation, professionally washed and cleaned before it reaches you, and shipped folded and fully insured. Age-related wear and the small inconsistencies of a handmade weave are part of what these rugs are.
