Hexagonal medallions in cream and tan link down the center on this amazing rug. Two large hexagonal medallions in cream and tan link down the center of a deep red field. Each medallion holds a smaller red hexagonal core with small crosses and stepped figures in near-black and teal. Zigzag edges in cream and brown step out from the top and bottom of each medallion into the open red ground. Cream makes up the gorgeous main border, with small flowers and angular shapes in red, teal and near-black. A red band edges it on the inside, set with small triangles and fine stripes in cream and near-black. Pile is full over the face, and the sharp geometric drawing stays distinct. The dense drawing holds the eye along the length, balancing the bright red ground with steady cream shapes. At 2'11" by 10'6", it fits a hallway or the space along the side of a bed.
