3212 · 3'6" x 9'9" Persian Ardabil Runner Rug

Gray beige panels wrap the red cores of the stacked diamond medallions in this lovely rug. Small teal rosettes and brown animal figures cover the deep red field around two stacked diamond medallions. Each medallion has a red core of small motifs, wrapped in gray beige panels marked with cream diagonal lines. Red, teal and gold stepped motifs fill the splendid cream main border. Narrow guard stripes with red and teal zigzag lines frame it. The pile is worn low across much of the red field, and the foundation shows through in places. It grounds a narrow passage, the warm red balancing the cool teal accents. At 3'6" by 9'9", it fits a hallway or the space along the side of a bed.
