The blue, cream and pink blossoms are charming against the deep red field. Across a deep red field, fine vines carry blue, cream and pink blossoms toward a central figure. The medallion is a lobed diamond of near-black with cream at its core and a light blue center, with short pendants above and below. Beautiful cream and light blue spandrels fill the four corners, framed in near-black. The wide border is near-black, with palmettes and flower heads in red, cream and pink. Guard stripes of sky blue and cream with small red flowers run on either side of the border. The pile has thinned in a few patches across the face, where the red reads paler. Cool blue accents and a near-black frame hold the red in check across this large, formal rug. At 9'8" by 13'5", it fits a dining table for six with the chairs pulled out, or a full living room seating group.
