A gorgeous cream eight-point star medallion rests in the middle, with a blue and near-black core inside its outline. Steel blue lobes hold the corners of the field, set with cream and pink florets. Near-black carries the main border, with a chain of red scrolls and blue and cream details. Narrow guard stripes in pink with black crosses, edged in blue and red, line the outer rim on each side. A few white flecks mark low spots in the field. It anchors a narrow passage, setting the warm red against the cool blue notes in the drawing. At 4'1" by 9'1", it fits a hallway or the space along the side of a bed.
