1183 · 2'6" x 5'11" Persian Zanjan Runner Rug

Three octagonal medallions make this a lovely runner. Three red octagonal medallions run down the center of a dark navy field, each holding a near-black geometric cross, with red at both ends. Small red rosettes sit on the dark navy ground between these large shapes. The main border is cream, carrying a zigzag line and small diamond motifs in dark brown and red. Narrow dark brown stripes set the border apart from the field. The pile is low in places, and the foundation shows through the middle where the wear is heaviest. It suits a narrow passage, keeping the strong red and dark brown distinct against the cream edge. At 2'6" by 5'11", it fits an entry, a hallway corner or the space beside a bed.
